Austria vignette
In Austria you need a vignette on the motorways and expressways: the digital vignette (digitale Vignette), sold by ASFINAG. Routava checks whether your car has one and warns you before you cross.

Where you need it
Motorways (A) and expressways (S), the whole ASFINAG network, except the free sections below. Ordinary roads are free. Vehicles up to 3.5 t.
Free sections at the border:
- A1 at Walserberg (DE A8): free until Salzburg Nord
- A12 at Kiefersfelden (DE A93): free until Kufstein Süd
- A14 at Hörbranz (DE A96): free until Hohenems
If you are caught without one
